Tule River Indian Tribe

The Tule River Indian Tribe of Tulare County is get­ting seven-point-one mil­lion dol­lars in a fed­eral set­tle­ment. It is one of 41 tribes across the coun­try to reach a deal in a law­suit that claimed the fed­eral gov­ern­ment mis­man­aged the tribe’s trust fund accounts. The tribes filed the law­suit in 2006. Some of the claims date back 100 years or more.
