Drive-by shooting injures man in leg east of Road 128

A man who was stand­ing next to his parked vehi­cle was shot in the leg on Fri­day, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Depart­ment said. A passerby saw a man lying on the ground next to his truck in a dirt field east of Road 128 and south of Avenue 176, the Sheriff’s Depart­ment said. The passerby then checked on the man who appeared to have a gun­shot wound to his leg and soon after called law enforce­ment around 3:35 p.m., the Sheriff’s Depart­ment said.
