Couple arrested in Visalia infant’s death

Visalia police arrested a young cou­ple on Thurs­day after the death of their 6-week-old daugh­ter three days ear­lier, police spokes­woman Amy Watkins said.

On Wednes­day, an autopsy found that the baby, Pey­ton Rowe, died from blunt force trauma. Sev­eral older injuries were dis­cov­ered and con­sis­tent with abuse span­ning sev­eral weeks, Watkins said.

Police arrested Aaron Rowe, 23, on sus­pi­cion of mur­der and Court­ney Rowe, 21, on sus­pi­cion of will­ful cru­elty to a child. Aaron was booked into the Tulare County Main Jail, and Court­ney was taken to the Bob Wiley Deten­tion Facility.
