Man shot to death in Visalia

Author­i­ties in Visalia are ask­ing for the public’s help in find­ing a teenager sus­pected of shoot­ing a man to death.

Visalia Police are look­ing for 17-year-old Jesus Ricardo Castaneda.

Police say in the early morn­ing hours of Octo­ber 20, Cas­taneda shot 26-year-old Abel Calderon out­side a home in the 200 block of North­west 2nd Street.

Calderon was taken to Kaweah Delta Med­ical Cen­ter where he was pro­nounced dead.

Inves­ti­ga­tors have not released the motive for the killing but ask any­one with infor­ma­tion on Cas­taneda to call the Visalia Police Depart­ment at (559) 734‑8116.
