Vehicle burglaries

Local police are warning residents to look out for vehicle burglaries. Vehicle burglaries aren’t just a holiday tradition for thieves, it’s also a crime of opportunity. The crimes are often hidden by early nightfall or dense fog. The combination leaves police warning people to take extra precautions this year with their gifts and valuables.
In Tulare, there have been 502 vehicle burglaries so far this year. While the city averaged a little more than one vehicle burglary a day, recently there have been five or six a day. On Wednesday there were seven, including three in less than an hour.
