The Visalia City Council and the Kaweah Delta Health Care District board of directors met on Monday at the Visalia Convention Center for the first time in almost three years to discuss planned expansion in downtown, upcoming and existing hospital programs and anticipated city projects that bind the two entities. One of those projects is a proposed fire station in the southwest area of the city. It’s something that has been three years in the making yet hasn’t been able to get done because of the city’s inability to acquire the land that would be a suitable location.
