Visalia Expansion

The Visalia City Coun­cil and the Kaweah Delta Health Care Dis­trict board of direc­tors met on Mon­day at the Visalia Con­ven­tion Cen­ter for the first time in almost three years to dis­cuss planned expan­sion in down­town, upcom­ing and exist­ing hos­pi­tal pro­grams and antic­i­pated city projects that bind the two enti­ties. One of those projects is a pro­posed fire sta­tion in the south­west area of the city. It’s some­thing that has been three years in the mak­ing yet hasn’t been able to get done because of the city’s inabil­ity to acquire the land that would be a suit­able location.
