DUI Crackdown Successful

South Val­ley author­i­ties say the recent win­ter hol­i­day crack­down against drunk dri­vers resulted in a sig­nif­i­cant num­ber of DUI arrests. From Decem­ber 14th through Jan­u­ary 1st, law enforce­ment per­son­nel in Tulare and Kings coun­ties arrested 111 peo­ple for dri­ving under the influ­ence of alco­hol or drugs. Dur­ing the same time last year, offi­cials arrested 183 peo­ple for DUI offenses. Author­i­ties say there were no fatal DUI col­li­sions this year.
