The San Francisco 49ers are heading back to the Super Bowl after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 28–24 in the NFC Championship Game. The Niners rallied from 17 points down to move to their first Super Bowl since winning the 1995 title following the ’94 season. Tulare Union graduate Colin Kaepernick [[ KAH-per-nik ]] threw for 233 yards and a touchdown for San Francisco. The 49ers will face the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl on February 3rd in New Orleans.
The NBA’s Sacramento Kings could be on the move. ESPN’s Marc Stein reports that the Maloof family has reached a deal to sell a 65-percent majority ownership of the team to a Seattle-based group. The report indicates that if the NBA approves the sale, the group will file for relocation by March 1st.
