Unemployment Up Slightly In Central Valley

California’s statewide unem­ploy­ment rate is hold­ing steady at nine-point-eight per­cent. How­ever, most Cen­tral Val­ley cities saw a slight increase last month. In the San Joaquin Val­ley, Merced County has the high­est unem­ploy­ment rate at 17-percent, which is up from nearly 16-percent from the month before. Fresno, Tulare and San Joaquin all have around 15-percent unemployment.
