Farmland Prices Surge

The price of Val­ley farm­land is on the rise. The “Fresno Bee” says ris­ing com­mod­ity prices and a lack of inven­tory are push­ing the value of farm­land to record prices. Two parcels in west Fresno County recently sold for twice as much as it was val­ued for last year. Land apprais­ers say buy­ers are even pay­ing top dol­lar for farm­land that has lim­ited water availability.
