Governor To Deliver State Of State

Gov­er­nor Jerry Brown is deliv­er­ing his State of the State address today. Brown has pro­posed a state bud­get that finally shows the state is oper­at­ing in the black, although some finan­cial ana­lysts dis­pute those num­bers. Brown is expected to talk about build­ing under­ground canals to trans­port water from the Delta to the south­land and the begin­ning of con­struc­tion on the state’s high-speed rail. The Gov­er­nor will speak in the Assem­bly Cham­bers at 9 a.m.
