Earthquake Early Warning System

California might be getting an earthquake early warning system. State Senator Alex Padilla has introduced a bill that he says would give the pubic up to 60 seconds of advance warning before the shaking starts. The estimated 80-million dollar system would process data through sensors at stations throughout the state, then instantly alert the public through devices such as cell phones or computers.
