Snowpack Slightly Below Normal

The Sierra snow­pack is slightly below nor­mal for this time of year. Crews from the state Depart­ment of Water Resources took the sec­ond snow sur­vey of the sea­son yes­ter­day morn­ing. The results were much less opti­mistic than last month’s sur­vey. Offi­cials say if the dry weather pat­tern con­tin­ues, the state may have to dip into reser­voir stor­age this summer.
