Water Fee Ballots Out This Week

Visalia res­i­dents will soon be receiv­ing a bal­lot ask­ing them to con­tinue pay­ing a 48-cent water fee to pre­vent future flood­ing. The bal­lots are going out this week. The city wants res­i­dents to approve a new use for the fee that was pre­vi­ously used to pay for the Kaweah Lake Enlarge­ment project. That project’s done, but the city wants to con­tinue charg­ing cus­tomers 48-cents a month to be used for storm drain maintenance.
