Deputies searching for man accused of assaulting a deputy near Porterville

The Tulare County Sheriff’s depart­ment is ask­ing for help find­ing a man that they say assaulted a deputy near Porter­ville. Deputies say Daryl Austin Young, described as 6 feet, 150 pounds with a shaved head and brown eyes, is most likely liv­ing on the streets in and around Porter­ville. He is con­sid­ered to be armed and dan­ger­ous, a sheriff’s report said. They’re rec­om­mend­ing cit­i­zens do not try and appre­hend him.
