Water Upgrade Approved

The Visalia City Coun­cil approved var­i­ous actions con­cern­ing the Water Con­ser­va­tion Plant Upgrade Project at its meet­ing on Tues­day night. The City Coun­cil voted 4–0 with one coun­cil mem­ber absent in favor of cer­ti­fy­ing the envi­ron­men­tal impact report, the Cal­i­for­nia Envi­ron­men­tal Qual­ity Act find­ings as well as numer­ous plans for the plant upgrade. The total cost of the project which has been ongo­ing since 2007 is expected to be $142 million.
