Tulare County authorities say a body was removed from the Friant-Kern Canal Monday near Woodlake. Investigators say an employee of the Friant Water Users Authority spotted the body near Millwood Drive and Avenue 344 and called the sheriff’s department. The identity of the victim and a cause of death are not known.
