2 Charged in Explosion

Two men are behind bars and one man is in the hos­pi­tal fol­low­ing an explo­sion at a busi­ness in Visalia. The inci­dent took place just before 3:00am Wednes­day morn­ing in the 300 block of Dun­worth Street. Author­i­ties say three men were seen leav­ing build­ing after the explo­sion. One of the sus­pects was trans­ported to a Fresno hos­pi­tal with burns to his body, while 25-year-old Shawn Smith and 21-year-old Stephen Dou­glass were arrested. Inves­ti­ga­tors believe the explo­sion may be related to a drug lab. Smith and Dou­glass have been booked into the Tulare County Jail on a num­ber of charges.
